The Forest of Black & White is a single-player strategy board game about learning Reversi with three animal rivals in a quiet forest. Place discs on an eight-by-eight board to surround and flip your opponent’s discs. When neither side can move, the player with more discs wins. Choose whether to play Black or White and face the Elephant, Owl, or Fox, with additional difficulty settings for the stronger rivals.
Click or tap a highlighted square to place a disc. Optional hints show legal moves, and each rival comments on the game as it unfolds. After a match, step through the recorded moves, compare suggested alternatives, and revisit positions using the analysis tools. The puzzle mode offers 100 endgame positions to solve, while achievements and locally saved records track progress across games. You can pause a game and return to it later, or export a backup of your records. Start with the Elephant and use the review screen to explore a move you would like to improve.
